The Writer/Editor serves a key function within the Editorial team, liaising with clients, developing briefs and generating copy for a wide range of outputs, from promotional flyers and brochures, to direct marketing projects and major campaigning initiatives.
The Editorial team acts as an internal creative agency producing high-quality web and print materials for Shelter. You will be responsible for the day-to-day writing, editing and maintaining of editorial content for internal and external use by both professional and public audiences. You will also ensure our print and online products reflect Shelter’s key messages and fully represent the range of the charity’s activities.
Working with the design, web and production teams, and stakeholders throughout the organisation, you will participate in the production cycle of published print and online materials, so excellent communication skills are essential, as is a real enthusiasm, and willingness to collaborate and work as part of a highly creative team. It’s also important that you are familiar with publishing software and IT systems, in particular, how to edit and upload written marketing/communications content including HTML e-newsletters and broadcast emails.
We offer good working conditions, including 30 days’ annual leave and flexible working practices. We are committed to giving all applications equal consideration.
