Young Persons Support Officer

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and resilient Young Persons Support Officer to work with young people that have been placed into private sector accommodation through our Rent Deposit Guarantee Scheme.

The post involves providing resettlement and tenancy sustainment support to young people and assisting them in gaining life skills.

In addition, you will assist them in accessing opportunities in education, training and employment as required.

You must have experience of working with young people and you will be expected to have a sound understanding of the difficulties facing homeless people and a working knowledge of housing law.

You will be an excellent communicator and able to deal effectively with stressful situations, you will demonstrate a problem-solving attitude to your work and be able to operate on your own initiative.
