Lambeth Youth Council is an award-winning youth participation project that puts young people at the heart of improving services in the borough. Youth Council members inspect youth provision and make recommendations for service improvements. They lead peer education sessions in schools and community settings around teenage pregnancy and substance misuse, consult with children and young people on key issues and take their views to a wide range of decision makers.
Are you able to juggle competing tasks and engage with groups of young people, service providers and decision makers? Do you have a passion for improving services for young people? Can you also maintain efficient and robust systems? Then here are two opportunities to play key support roles within Lambeth Youth Council.
Strong administrative, organisational and communication skills need to be combined with an ability to simultaneously handle a variety of projects with competing deadlines. Experience in working and encouraging the positive involvement of children and young people is essential.
