Hillingdon Council: Putting our residents first

About the job

Work patterns include 3 regular evening sessions (6:45-9:45pm) Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, plus regular weekend residential work.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work face-to-face with young people, supporting them to learn and develop, as a positive role model in their lives. You’ll be working with young people to help realise their aspirations through the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme, particularly at Bronze and Silver levels. You’ll generate interest for projects in the area, seeing they are delivered to a high standard. You will work as a member of a staff team to ensure that young people’s needs are met through the programme.

About the person

We’re looking for an inspiring, innovative youth worker who shares our excitement in helping young people achieve their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. You’ll certainly be someone who can relate to and empathise with young people. An understanding for the Award, an appreciation of outdoor education, and availability to undertake regular weekend residential work are essential.
