Youth Support Worker

Salary:JNC 7-10, £17,522 to £19,442 pa pro rata 

Hours:Working between one and three evenings per week

Young people have a key role in their local communities. Youth Work in
North Somerset is committed to inspiring and challenging young people to meet their needs and broaden their horizons. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to get into youth work.

Previous experience of work with young people is an advantage although full training is provided. If you do not already hold an NVQ Level 3 in Youth Work, or equivalent, you will be expected to undertake training to this level.

This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age as Youth Support Workers are expected to supervise young people in loco parentis.
