Are you an experienced senior youth worker with a recognised JNC qualification looking for the next step in your career?
As the Youth Work Team Leader, you will lead and performance manage a youth work team to plan, deliver and evaluate creative, innovative and focused quality curriculum based targeted youth work to develop young people’s personal and social skills and meet agreed targets.
You will be responsible for high quality informal education programmes across the district which meet the Service priorities and result in clear learning outcomes. You will be expected to establish new programmes and projects and lead your team to develop a stimulating and challenging youth work offer.
You will have the ability to quickly establish positive relationships with diverse groups of young people and partners, responding flexibly to the needs of young people and the Service. You will represent the team at working groups, forums and meetings.
You will deliver and manage a variety of programmes including issue based work, fixed term programmes, youth councils/forums, National Citizen Service and residentials - in youth projects and centres, community centres and schools – with a focus on vulnerable groups and targeted localities. You will be required to monitor and manage the performance of your team through supervision, observations and assessments.
Good IT, organisation, and communication skills plus the ability to meet targets, produce reports and correspond with young people, parents and partners is essential.
