We are seeking a Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with proven post qualification experience to join our Legal Services Team, to deal with all aspects of Employment Law/Employment Tribunals cases including undertaking your own advocacy. You will support the Head of Legal Services in researching, co-ordinating and developing the Council’s position in respect of its duties and responsibilities under the Data Protection Act 1998 & the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and to provide advice and deal with general litigation matters.

In addition to being a key figure in dealing with the Freedom of Information Act 1998 and the Data Protection Act 2000, you will be expected to provide sound legal advice to officers and members on legal matters generally.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure will be sought for the successful candidate.
