Location:Based at Low Fold Children and Family Centre, Keighley

The Family Support Service, Children and Family Centres are an integral part of the support to children and families living in crisis in the Bradford district, working with both Social Care and Locality based services. We are seeking people who want to make a real difference to children’s lives.

You must:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years paid work with children and/or young people and/or their families
  • Have a relevant Childcare qualification i.e. NNEB, BTEC National, NVQL3, DipSW
  • Have knowledge of children’s developmental needs, physical, emotional, social, cultural, intellectual and play.
  • Computer literate and have the ability to maintain electronic case records and compile complex reports for Child Protection Meetings and Court.
  • A good team player and also have the ability to work alone in sometimes difficult situations.
  • Resilient and have the ability to adapt to changes.
  • Someone with a proven track record of working and enabling families to make changes in their lives.

In return the Children and Family Centres provide excellent support including regular supervision, and developmental training opportunities.

One of the posts at Low Fold is for a person able to fluently speak one of the South East Asian languages, eg Punjabi, Urdu or Bengali, offered as a genuine Occupational Qualification under Section 5(2) (d) of the Race Relations Act 1976.
