Family Worker (Maternity Cover until July 2009)

Hours:37 hours per week 

Working pattern:Full Time, Term Time, Temporary position 

Location:Bracknell Forest Primary Professional Centre, Hanworth Road, Bracknell, Berkshire

We run a successful support service for families and are keen to add to our highly effective and well managed teams. You will work with vulnerable pupils (of primary and /or secondary age) and their families to provide specialised family support through both individual and group work. The multi agency approach is integral to the service. Qualifications in social work, counselling or related disciplines will be an advantage.

You will have strong interpersonal skills; the ability to relate to pupils / young people, parents and other professionals. Sensitivity and flexibility are essential with good administrative and organisational skills to allow you to work independently.

Experience of joint working in an educational/social work environment will be an advantage as well as current experience of working with children and families.
