Part time Youth Workers (Detached and Centre based)

Salary:JNC Qualified pt. 7-10 (£17,053 - £18,922) per annum pro rata Unqualified pt. 1-4 (£13,628 - £15,337) per annum pro rata.

Working pattern:Part Time, Permanent position 

Location:Strood & Peninsula areas

Medway Youth Service is looking to recruit individuals for sessional work, for the following hours:

Detached youth work (Street based)
3 hours on Mondays 6-9 Hoo
3 hours on Tuesdays 7-10 Hoo
12 hours at Strood youth centre, made up of:
3 hours Monday 7-10 (generic youth club session)
3 hours Wednesday, 7-10 (generic youth club session)
3 hours Thursday 7-10 (accreditation worker)
3 hours Saturday’s 10am-1pm (ideally looking for a trampoline coach)
9 hours at Grain Youth Club, made up of:
2 time 3 hours Thursday (junior club) 4-7pm
3 hours, Thursday (generic youth club session) 7-10pm
Spring board project
6 hours (9-3 Fridays) – Working with young people in an alternative curriculum project.

Candidates should be dynamic, self-motivated team players with a wide variety of life skills and a passion for working with young people. Good communication skills and a sense of humour are important attributes. We would be particularly interested in candidates who have skills and/or experience in any of the following areas –

Special needs
Sport
Creative and performance arts
ICT and media
