Kent Youth Service is setting the professional pace with a constant stream of imaginative ideas and fresh initiatives. We now need an additional staff member with a genuine interest in supporting young people to join us on a part-time Leader in Charge basis to cover maternity leave.
You will use your excellent interpersonal skills to engage young people in constructive activities and be able to deliver existing evening and day-time programmes of informal learning and activities.
You will lead a part-time staff team, to design, plan and deliver a stimulating range of curriculum activities that provide opportunities for skill development and informal learning.
Your ability to understand and communicate effectively with young people in the 11 -25 age group will be essential, together with the successful completion of Kent Youth Services Part-time Leader in Charge training course.
You will also have considerable experience of working with young people in a centre setting and your personal interests or hobbies will be of equal use, whether you are a keen sports player, artist, dancer or musician.
