In this role, you will support the Service and advise Senior Managers on the promotion of diversity and equal opportunities in employment, training and service delivery.
You’ll be aware of existing, forthcoming and proposed legislation relating to equality matters, and use your excellent oral and written communication skills to interpret and deliver reports on legal requirements.
Working to support Surrey Fire and Rescue in the attainment and continuance of the higher levels within the Equalities Standard for Local Government, you’ll have a thorough understanding of The Equality and Human Rights Commission.
You will work with the Service to engage with the community and promote recruitment, assisting in achieving a representative workforce composition.
Continuing to build on and develop internal and external partnership working will be key to the role.
You must be highly self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative.
