DIRECT PAYMENTS – FINANCE ASSISTANT 2 posts

Salary:Scale 3, SCP14 – 17 £15,524 - £16,614 per annum/pro rata. 

Hours:Post 1-37 Hours per week. Post 2-18.5 Hours per week. Please indicate on your application, which of the posts you are interested in applying for.

The Direct Payments Finance Assistant has a key role in ensuring that service users receive their Direct Payment, and keep records of how it has been used.

You will calculate the cost of the Direct Payments package of care and make amendments as required.

You will visit clients, check their record keeping, and make arrangements for payments to be made.

You will complete financial reviews of the Direct Payments accounts, using either the service users own records or computerised accounts from a bookkeeping and payroll service.

You will also use your IT skills to document statistical data and records of the activities of the Direct Payments team.

The Direct Payments Assistant acts under the direction / guidance of the Direct Payments Officer.T
