Senior Finance Officer - Children's Services

An opportunity has arisen within the Children’s Services Finance Team for a high quality, experienced finance team member able to contribute to the continuing improvement of the finance function.

Reporting to the Principal Finance Officer, you will provide high quality financial reporting, advice and support to managers within the Department whilst promoting sound financial management and supporting the finance and business planning process.

You will either be actively studying for your qualification or have extensive knowledge of financial management within local government. Experience of Children’s Services would be an advantage but is not essential.

Candidates will have to demonstrate the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial managers and be committed to performance management and delivering continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will be required to have a Criminal Record Bureau check.
