Based at our exciting new, highly sustainable Visitor Centre at Shorne Woods
Country Park, we are seeking an Environmental Education Officer to cover
the current post-holder whilst on maternity leave.
Responsible for co-ordinating and delivering an exciting programme of
environmental education and events to visiting schools and other groups, the
postholder will also lead a variety of Heritage Lottery Funded interpretation
initiatives at Shorne Woods Country Park over the coming months.
Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, you will be familiar with
National Curriculum education programmes aimed at Key Stages 1 & 2, and
will be keen to use your initiative to bring our education service to as wide an audience as possible. With existing knowledge of Shorne Woods Country Park and all that it offers, your skills and experience of producing interpretative materials will be second to none.
The post requires an ability to work flexibly, including some weekend and evening work as necessary. The postholder will be expected to obtain a First Aid Certificate.
