The Council’s Sport and Leisure Service is the largest leisure provider in the district with over 2 million customers each year visiting our sports centres, swimming pools and public halls.

The Leisure Centre – Keighley has recently undergone significant improvements including the refurbishment of the Clubactive Fitness Centre, installation of the SHOKK children’s Fitness Centre, provision of a state of the art “Changing Place” for people with additional changing requirements and new sauna/steam rooms. There has also been a new café installed in the Reception foyer. This has changed the face of the facility and we are now ready for more lively, enthusiastic new faces to join our team!

Duties include: Responsible to the Duty Person for the day to day operations which will include the cleaning inside and outside of the facility, general control and patrol of the facilities, i.e. changing areas, sauna, solaria, relevant pools and Café. Also you will be required to set up, dismantle, move and store equipment. You will also have an overview of customer safety, discipline and well-being. Provision of effective customer service, preventing or injury to customers and misuse/damage of the facility, supervised on a daily basis by the Senior Attendant, Duty Person, but will also report to the Neighbourhood Manager.

You must have: Current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (Unit 1 & 2).

Enhancements will be paid for any unsociable hours worked which will include daytime, evenings, weekends and occasional Bank Holidays.

An enhanced disclosure check with the Criminal Records Bureau will be undertaken for the successful applicant.
