This is an exciting and challenging time for Disabled Children’s Services as KCC have been awarded ‘Pathfinder Status for Short Term Breaks’ under the Aiming High initiative which has created an opportunity to commission new innovative services in partnership with key agencies and families.
We are looking for an Area Manager who is able to work across agency boundaries and provide strong leadership.
You will also have a Management responsibility for two social work / OT teams providing care packages for disabled children with the most complex needs. This will include LAC and CP work.
You will be expected to have worked in the CSS and have developed a sound understanding of the needs of vulnerable children and their families.
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Criminal Records Bureau and to registration as a qualified Social Worker with the General Social Care Council.
