Marketing and Communications Manager (temporary contract until March 2011)

Location:This role is home-based, but involves travel around the South East region

Improvement and Efficiency South East (IESE) (www.southeastiep.gov.uk) is a regional partnership helping local councils achieve greater value for money through collaboration and changing the way in which services are delivered. We are seeking to recruit a Marketing & Communications Manager who will work with the IESE team to promote IESE activity, share good practice and increase the involvement of councils in IESE projects.

Your focus will be on managing communications to officers and councillors across the south east region through various channels. You will own, develop and deliver the IESE communication strategy and ensure the effectiveness of communication activity is monitored so that the strategy can evolve and the impact of communications increased.

You must have:

• A proven track record of managing communication activities including website maintenance, direct marketing and event management
• The ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including external suppliers
• A flair for creative design with strong attention to detail
