The Commercial Services unit of KCC operates the LASER Energy Buying Group, providing an energy procurement and contract management service for the supply of electricity, gas and liquid fuels. The Group operates for a range of Local Authorities and other public sector groups largely in London and the Southeast.
This is an opportunity to join a new section within LASER to deliver customer service solutions across the LASER member portfolio. The successful candidates will be leading teams dealing with customer enquiries and problem solving across the range of energy products. Candidates should be able to demonstrate knowledge, understanding and implementation of appropriate customer service systems, methods and processes.
The energy industry is a fast moving, high profile sector and this challenging role requires commitment and dedication to providing a first class service to the growing LASER membership.
You should have thorough knowledge of and experience in Customer Services, with a track record of delivering innovative solutions to complex enquiries. A detailed understanding of the supply side of the Energy Industry is highly desirable.
Core duties will include the development of the team, and working with the Customer Services Manager to enable the implementation of changes to working practices and procedures as appropriate. Implementing Service Level Agreements both with suppliers and corporate customers Team Leaders will be working to defined targets producing reports for management and corporate customers.
With a high level of liaison with suppliers and group members’ excellent communication and team working skills are essential. Computer literate you will need to use a range of standard and bespoke software applications.
