We are looking for someone who can supply a quality service to older people to support their independent living within a sheltered housing scheme. You must have experience in customer service and in caring and working with older people. Experience in liaising with statutory and voluntary agencies is desirable, as is a National Wardens Certificate or equivalent.
You will also be working with older people in the wider community via the Lifeline Service and you will be required to participate in the Out of Hours response service for which an additional allowance and mileage is paid. You must be a car owner/driver and having knowledge of Masham/Ripon and the surrounding villages and Nidderdale area would be an advantage.
You will be required to live on the scheme in the first floor 3 bedroom flat provided, for which you will be responsible for discounted rent, council tax and utility bills.
As you will have access to vulnerable adults you will need a Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau, the Council will issue the application form and pay the fee.
