Medway is a priority growth area in the Thames Gateway, with an extensive and ambitious regeneration agenda. As part of its transformation into a world-class city of culture, learning, tourism and enterprise Medway is preparing a World Heritage Site application for Chatham Dockyard and its Defences.

You will be play an important role in the delivery of Chatham’s proposed World Heritage Site nomination and its benefits to the local area. The Great Lines City Park is a 70 hectare public park of outstanding heritage significance which will provide a superlative backdrop to the regeneration of Chatham and Gillingham town centres. The Great Lines City Park has just received £2m investment from central government’s Parklands fund.

You will manage delivery of the Parklands project and potential additional funds. Principal duties will include procurement and client management of project phases, preparation of grant monitoring reports, and budgetary control.

You will need to demonstrate well-developed project management skills, experience of community engagement and a good understanding of landscape design, landscape management and the historic environment.
