Health & Safety Advisor (Education)
As a four star council, Waltham Forest is seeking to create a positive Health and Safety culture. We offer our 80+ schools strategic initiatives, professional advice and guidance to head teachers, governors, staff and senior managers.
We are now seeking a highly motivated and creative individual, who can establish credibility at a senior level, to join our Health & Safety team. To succeed in this role you must be able to create effective relationships and to influence and motivate others. You’ll also be well organised, able to meet challenging deadlines and deliver a high standard of service.
You will be qualified to NEBOSH Diploma Part 2 (or equivalent) standard, and hold membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (with Chartered status or working towards it).
You’ll have proven experience as a Health and Safety practitioner in a multi-disciplinary organisation, ideally within a schools environment and also have some management experience.
We employ over 8,000 people (including 5,500 in schools) in numerous professions and locations so we can offer a broad base of experience to develop your skills.
