Gym Instructor

Salary:Scale 1/2 £11,577 - £14,882 PA (Job Evaluation Pending) 

Hours:Your normal working hours are a minimum of 37 hours per week.  

Working pattern:Flexible Hours, Full Time, Permanent position 

Location:Water Lane Leisure Centre, Water Lane, Lowestoft, Suffolk  

Closing date:15/01/2009 23:59 PM 

You will be based at the recently re-furbished Sprit Gym at Water Lane Leisure Centre, Lowestoft. The duties will include providing fitness inductions, assessments and programme writing, along with updating fitness advise to members. You will also be required to carry out routine maintenance and cleaning checks whilst adhering to all relevant procedures. You will provide membership and sales advice for both users and non users and complete all necessary paperwork in accordance with timescales and policy.

It is essential that you have a recognised Level 2 Professional Fitness Instructor Qualification and previous experience of working within a fitness facility. You will have the ability to communicate at all levels and have good interpersonal skills. You will also be able to lead team members whilst on shift and have a customer-orientated approach.

Interviews will take place week commencing 26th January 2009
