The London Assembly scrutinises the policies and performance of London’s elected Mayor and provides a voice for Londoners in the future direction of our capital city. The Conservative Group forms the largest block in a politically balanced body and is highly influential. Ours is a high profile environment, reflecting the vital services the authority provides. Reporting to the Conservative Spokesman for Health and Public Services, you will be prepared to work on issues concerning Health and Public Services in London and provide support to eleven elected Conservative members in relation to your portfolio. Current exciting projects include Health and Public Services issues, NHS London and provision of Healthcare in London.

You will provide briefings for members ahead of meetings and respond on behalf of the group to consultation documents relating to proposals for Health and Public Services from the Mayor and London Assembly. You will prepare and research questions to the Mayor and Functional bodies on Health and Public Services issues, accompanying members at external meetings. You will provide constituency support for Conservative Group Members in relation to Health and Public Services issues and build networks and work with central government and a broad range of community and other groups.
