Building Attendant (Flexible)

Location:Merchants House (Shipley) & Town Hall Shipley

We require a Building Attendant for Merchants House (Shipley) and Shipley Town Hall to undertake caretaking duties which include caretaking, portering, messenger, cleaning and security service each day (Monday – Friday). You should also be willing to work at other buildings throughout the central admin estate as and when required.

The basic hours are 2.15pm to 6.15pm Monday to Thursday; 2.00pm to 6.00pm on Friday. There are up to two evening meetings per week at Shipley Town Hall which would require overtime for which additional payment is made.

The Building Attendant is an important member of a small and friendly team, responsible for ensuring the general security of the buildings and you will have a positive attitude towards working with a wide variety of people. You will be responsible to the Assistant Facilities Manager for day to day supervision.

You must also be willing to attend emergency call outs if the need arise.

You will have experience in a customer focussed environment to include experience accepting and distributing deliveries and experience of working in large buildings with lifts.
