The London Development Agency work to deliver the Mayor’s vision for London to be a sustainable world city with strong, long-term economic growth, social inclusion and active environmental improvement.
To do this, we produce the Mayor’s Economic Development Strategy for London, which focuses on: places and infrastructure; supporting people, encouraging business; and promoting London.
We are one of the nine Regional Development Agencies (RDAs), set up by Government to transform England’s regions through sustainable economic development.
And, as a functional body of the Greater London Authority (GLA), we have a key role to play in helping to deliver the Mayor of London’s vision and priorities for London.
In order to support the Mayor’s vision for London, we produce the Economic Development Strategy for London.
Following the appointment of Peter Rogers as our permanent Chief Executive, we are experiencing a period of significant cultural change. Our ultimate goal is to maintain our direction in becoming a more dynamic and focussed delivery regeneration organisation.
The LDA Improvement Programme is delivering significant organisational change at the LDA. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the Programme’s success, ensuring that it achieves its objectives, realises benefits and delivers against its Plan. You will be responsible for ensuring that the required business change takes place throughout the organisation, proactively monitoring the Programme’s progress, managing risks and initiating corrective action.
You will report to the LDA’s Board and senior management team on the Programme’s performance, and be responsible for delivering a targeted communications and engagement strategy to create greater awareness, commitment and ownership of the priorities.
Together with a degree (or equivalent), you will have a track record of delivering change management within a complex organisation. You will be an experienced Programme Manager with an understanding of how systems can increase performance. You will be an excellent people manager, able to influence key decision makers within an organisation and you will have delivered effective change communications and engagement.
The role is for a fixed term to 31 March 2010.
