This is an exciting opportunity to be responsible for the day to day management of our Museum, Gallery and Heritage services, and to help drive forward and shape services for the future.

Having recently moved our entire collections to new purpose built storage, completed a thorough cataloguing and documentation programme, opened new galleries, and achieved museums accreditation we are now ready to embark on the next phase of development. You will have the opportunity to develop and project manage exciting new initiatives linked to the prestigious Fishing Heritage Centre. Close linkage to education and outreach are the heart of our service alongside the development of new and diverse exhibition programmes that cater for both a local and a visitor market.

A degree and professional museum qualifications are essential as well as experience at management level within a museums environment and a good understanding of the national and regional museums agenda is required.
