Reading Girls’ School is a popular 11-18 partially-selective, foundation school with over 700 students on roll.

The School is at present in a ‘Soft Federation’ with Kendrick Girls’ Grammar School and is supported by the Executive Headteacher, Marsha Elms. Reading Girls’ is also cooperating with Thames Valley University to develop and broaden opportunities for girls, especially in post 16 courses. Specialist School Status in Business and Enterprise has been achieved.

We are seeking to appoint a committed, well-qualified and experienced Head of Science & PE to continue to raise standards within this faculty. Applicants should be enthusiastic teachers with excellent management skills and the ability to inspire across the age and ability range. The successful candidate will have the courage to implement change and will be given the opportunity to participate in whole school decisions.
