Our vision at the GLA is to keep London as one of the safest capital cities in the world and, consequently, our Community Safety team is at the forefront of shaping the drive to tackle the challenges of helping Londoners to be and feel safe by developing and driving the Mayor’s key policies on crime (such as youth violence and violence against women).
With the Mayor of London having made crime his number one priority for the capital and having received over 3000 letters on crime-related issues alone since May, this is an exciting and busy area of work crucial to the concerns of Londoners.
An opportunity has arisen to offer a role (up to 6/7 months fixed-term/secondment) in this vibrant area of work to a suitably qualified candidate to support the Community Safety Manager.
So if you:
- have the dynamism needed to work with one of the top concerns for Londoners
- can provide a comprehensive high-quality personal administrative/support service to a senior manager
- can liaise suitably with high profile internal and external contacts
- can project the right kind of image for the role
- are skilled in the use of relevant office IT systems
- can use analytical and research skills effectively
- can arrange responses to a wide range of enquiries, correspondence and Mayoral Questions
- can provide comprehensive administrative and project support to a team
Then we would love to hear from you. Given the short duration of the appointment, we are looking for someone to take up the position as soon as possible.
