We believe everyone has the right to enjoy high quality public open spaces, and that’s why we need your experience to help us: increase the number and diversity of visitors to Priory Park and improve their understanding and experience of the Park.
Working alongside the Priory Park Officer, you’ll be responsible for a range of activities, including promoting the facility to the public and other bodies, welcoming visitors and generally ensuring that this beautiful space is used and enjoyed by as many people as possible. To this end, you’ll work with a diverse range of partners, including local schools, businesses, the Friends of Priory Park, the pavilion catering contractor and the Council’s Communications team.
You will need to have experience of marketing and organising events supplemented by knowledge in one or more of the following heritage areas: built environment; landscape; natural heritage. You will also need to be comfortable dealing with the general public on a daily basis and managing budgets.
Employment with the Council will also be subject to enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) clearance.
