Build on our achievements and deliver teaching and learning excellence to a diverse community

Sunnyhill Primary School in Streatham, South West London, is a diverse school at the heart of its community.
We are looking for an experienced senior leader with high expectations and a proven record of raising levels of achievement for all pupils, who will relish the challenge of leading Sunnyhill through its exciting next phase of development.

There is much to build on…
Sunnyhill has made great progress under the inspirational leadership of the current head and senior management team, strongly supported by an active governing body. The governors and whole school community are proud of the school’s achievements in raising standards and promoting high expectations
among all pupils academically and through music, performance and sport. We have led the way in Lambeth in our work in teaching English not only to pupils but also to parents and we actively participate in the wider Lambeth school community.
There is a strong emphasis on the extended school offering, with an established children’s centre and a new multi-million pound early years centre scheduled to open in Spring 2009.

But there is also much more to be done…
The person appointed to lead Sunnyhill will need to demonstrate a strong personal commitment to raising standards for all children. We want to make our school a consistently high achieving school –aiming for excellence and offering a fully extended service to pupils, parents and the wider community.
We have recently restructured our senior management team to meet these new challenges and are looking for a leader who can achieve our high aspirations.

We would like to hear from you, if you…
Consistently aim high
Are truly ambitious for all children
Have the energy, imagination and enthusiasm to achieve
Are an excellent leader and manager able to lead, motivate and inspire a large team
Can demonstrate success in raising attainment levels for pupils with varying and diverse needs
Can communicate and deliver the vision to take our school forward
Will settle for nothing less than excellence
