We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Accountant to join our Finance team on a fixed-term basis. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in delivering a portfolio of high-impact strategic projects that support the Council’s long-term goals and community priorities.

About the role:

  • Provide expert financial support and analysis for a range of strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with project managers and senior stakeholders to ensure financial oversight and accountability
  • Develop and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial report.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, offering solutions to support decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies

About you:

  • AAT qualified as a minimum
  • Experience of financial management and accounting
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft 365
  • Able to manage and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
