This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being the welcoming face of the school, is highly organised, and is committed to helping our school run smoothly—especially during the busy moments! We are also seeking someone who is enthusiastic about supporting fundraising and community events, helping our school to continue providing exciting opportunities for our pupils.

About the Role

As our Administration Assistant, you will play a vital part in the daily life of the school. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing general clerical and administrative support (word processing, filing, photocopying, diary organisation, mail distribution).
  • Supporting financial administration such as setting up trips on School Money, trip payments, donations and maintaining accurate records.
  • Coordinating assessment and admissions processes under the direction of the Headteacher.
  • Maintaining pupil and staff records (manual and electronic, including ARBOR).
  • Greeting and supporting parents, pupils, visitors and contractors with warmth and professionalism.
  • Managing telephone and face‑to‑face enquiries and helping ensure a safe and welcoming front‑of‑house experience.
  • Processing personnel paperwork for new starters, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Ordering, receiving and managing school resources and supplies.
  • Supporting school fundraising activities and events.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Is:

Warm, friendly and approachable

You will be one of the first smiling faces people see when they enter our school.

Our school office is often busy—your ability to stay composed, professional and reassuring is essential.

You will handle important information and deadlines, so attention to detail is key.

School life moves quickly, and we value someone who can adapt and respond with enthusiasm.

You’ll be interacting with pupils every day and helping ensure their school experience is a positive one.

We are proud of our community spirit and want someone who enjoys helping bring events and fundraising activities to life.

You’ll liaise confidently with parents, staff, suppliers and external agencies.

Skills & Experience

We welcome applicants with:

  • Experience in administration.
  • Strong IT skills (including databases such as ARBOR, Word, Outlook and spreadsheets).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • An understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding.

If you’re ready to make a difference in a friendly, supportive school environment where your work really matters, we’d love to hear from you.

We would consider an Apprentice level trainee in this role and would be comitted to training and developing the right candidate.

The role will be temporary for 6 months with a view to making the position permanent.

The successful candidate will support the safeguarding ethos which is high priority throughout our school and will be subject to enhance DBS and reference checks.
