Administrative and Admissions Assistant

Hours: 10 hours per week x 40 weeks per year

9:00am - 3:00pm 2 days per week (Thursdays and Fridays)

Grade: APTC 3 Points 5 - 6

Salary: £29,436 - £29,856 full time equivalent. Actual pro rata salary: £7,213 - £7,316 p.a.

Contract: Permanent

The Mawney Foundation School is a proactive, supportive, well-resourced 3 form entry primary school, with high expectations of all members of staff and pupils. The school has also been graded as ‘Good’ in our last 4 Ofsted inspections (most recent in May 2025).

The Executive Head teacher, Head teacher and Governors are currently looking for an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic administrative and admissions assistant to join our fun and supportive team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to be part of our office team and join us in the next phase of our fabulous schools' journey. You will be supported by the experienced finance team and senior leadership team.

The school is also part of The Learning and Achieving Federation (formed with Crownfield Junior School), which enables the schools to share training, support, expertise and resources across both sites for the benefit of the pupils and staff.

Required to start as soon as possible, an enthusiastic, flexible, confident individual with excellent interpersonal skills to work in a busy school office, term time only. An ability to work on your own initiative and to keep calm under pressure is essential.

The role will include extensive use of word processing, spreadsheets and general office and reception duties, as well as the use of our Management Information System- Arbor, so experience of these types of software are essential. The successful candidate will be the first port of call for new families joining our school as well as support the outstanding work of the school office team.
