The role:
- The role of Children’s Centre Administration & Finance Officer will provide high‑quality administrative, financial and customer‑service support across the Children’s Centre, including accurate data entry, use of finance systems, and assisting staff to deliver effective services for children and families
- Delivery of the Children’s Centre Administration & Finance Officer role includes budget monitoring, raising invoices, maintaining finance records, operating IT and data systems (e‑Start, Liquid Logic, Excel, SAP), and responding to enquiries from parents, visitors and partner professionals in a warm, person‑centred manner
- In the role of Children’s Centre Administration & Finance Officer, you will act as a key point of contact for families, providing clear information about centre services, supporting parents to access help and resources, and working alongside managers and partner agencies to ensure coordinated support for children and families
- The role of Children’s Centre Administration & Finance Officer requires confidence in using a wide range of IT and financial systems, maintaining accurate records, managing booking systems, delivering consistent customer‑facing support, and contributing to communication and promotional activity both in‑centre and online
- Your demonstrable knowledge as a Children’s Centre Administration & Finance Officer will include experience with financial processes, databases and spreadsheets, strong organisational skills, the ability to produce clear reports, and excellent communication skills for engaging sensitively and effectively with families and professional colleagues
- The role of Children’s Centre Administration & Finance Officer involves flexible working across sites, close collaboration with the children’s centre team and partner professionals, providing person‑centred support to families, ensuring compliance with financial and data regulations, and contributing to the delivery of high‑quality services for local children and parents
This post is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 6:00pm, with occasional evening and weekend work. Although you will be assigned to a specific Children’s Centre, you will be required to work flexibly across multiple sites within the footprint area
