Join Peabody as an Administration Assistant (Part-Time, 20 Hours/Week)

Are you organised, empathetic, and passionate about making a difference? Peabody is looking for a part-time Administration Assistant to support our Handyperson Team in delivering essential services to vulnerable tenants and community members.

As our Administration Assistant, you’ll be the heartbeat of the Handyperson Team, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes so our frontline services can support those who need us most.

You’ll be the first voice many of our vulnerable customers hear when they reach out for help. Whether it’s answering a call from someone needing urgent repairs or calmly guiding a tenant through a booking process, your empathy and professionalism will make all the difference. You’ll need to be confident on the phone, able to listen with care, and respond with clarity.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Keeping our records accurate and up to date, so every customer interaction is informed and efficient.
  • Managing invoices and financial admin, helping us stay on top of budgets and ensuring services are delivered without delay.
  • Scheduling appointments and coordinating calendars, making sure our operatives are in the right place at the right time.
  • Handling enquiries with warmth and precision, whether by phone or email, and escalating issues when needed.
  • Logging jobs and tracking progress, so no request goes unanswered, and every customer feels supported.
  • Supporting the wider office, from ordering supplies to preparing documents, your attention to detail will keep everything ticking.

This isn’t just an admin role, it’s a chance to be part of a team that uplifts lives. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Peabody, contributing to a service that’s kind, reliable, and rooted in community care.

  • Excellent organisational, planning, and prioritisation abilities with IT Proficiency, Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with a good telephone manner. Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and a commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals.
