    Salary:Band: 5: £26,473 - £28,239 p.a.

    37 hours per week. Monday - Friday.

    This is an exciting opportunity at Adult Mental Health, St Marys Community Health Campus working in the Community Recovery Mental Health Service.

    The Service

    The Adult Mental Health Service in Portsmouth is an integrated health and social care service, hosted by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Portsmouth City Council, Adult Social Care employ social care staff to work in the integrated provision, so we deliver a joined-up approach to meeting people’s needs at the earliest opportunity.

    We work hard to ensure we deliver a high-quality service and put those who use the service are at the heart of everything we do. Our staff are supported in their roles and encouraged to develop; within this role you will receive regular supervision.

    What is the role

    This is a very varied role where you will assist the Social Care Lead and Manager in ensuring that the administrative policies and procedures are effectively organised and followed by staff. You will undertake a variety of administrative and clerical duties including dealing with correspondence, both in writing and over the phone/face to face, diary management, coordinating meetings as required and managing confidential information.You will provide support for a range of meetings and investigations which will include agenda preparation and follow up of any actions and producing accurate minutes of these meetings to be distributed to all attendees. In addition, you will maintain and update various databases produce quarterly reports and accurate accounting and budget control systems as required.

    Who is the person

    With previous administrative experience, you will have a knowledge and understanding of those with mental health needs. With the ability to use Microsoft Office and Excel, which is essential you will be able to interpret data and have experience of maintaining databases and spreadsheets whilst inputting and extracting data accurately. With good numeracy and literacy skills and the ability to take accurate minutes at meetings, if required, a Level2/3 administration qualification would be advantageous but not essential. The ability to work flexibly and organise and prioritise your workload is required as well as being able to work as part of a team or on your own. With good communication skills, you will be able to initiate improvements in administrative practices. You will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of confidential working and promote such practice.
