The Governing Body of the Federation of Fleur de Lys and Pengam Primary Schools are seeking to appoint an Administration Clerk for these friendly and forward thinking schools. A smart, reliable and professional person is required for undertaking this demanding but exciting role working across both schools.

There is a shared headship of these two friendly community schools. The Administrative Clerk is very much a part of the staff and central to the schools. Efficient organisational skills and the ability to welcome pupils, parents, Governors and visitors to our schools are essential along with sound communication skills.

The anticipated commencement date for this post will be Monday 1st September 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter, subject to HR Recruitment and Safeguarding checks.

The hours of duty for this post are 8.30am – 3.30pm

Essential Skills

Experience of working in a reception or an administration environment;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- the ability to relate well to children and adults;

Experience of prioritising and managing tasks, effective organisational skills and ability to work on their own initiative;

Ability to respond positively to the confidential nature of this post;

Confidence to ensure all school policies including safeguarding, health and safety procedures etc. are brought to the attention of visitors;

A good knowledge of computer systems, including word and excel packages;


Desirable Skills

School based experience of management and operation of administrative systems;

Knowledge of H.R, financial procedures and budgetary control and the use of SIMS and OLAS would be an advantage.
