This role has a starting salary of £27,634 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week.

We are hiring a new Administration Assistant to join our fantastic West Reablement team. The team is based in West Surrey and supports Surrey residents, in their own homes, to enable them to live as independently as possible and enhance their quality of life.

About the Team
Our Reablement Service provides time‑limited support (typically up to six weeks), usually in people’s own homes, helping people work towards their reablement goals so they can live more independently and stay in their communities. We work as a therapy‑led, multi‑disciplinary team alongside Team Leaders, Senior Reablement Practitioners, Reablement Practitioners and Therapists. Hybrid working is supported, and our frontline services operate seven days a week, 365 days a year.

About the Role

Administration Assistants provide administrative support to the operational team and management to enable the smooth running of day-to-day activities. This is a varied role and includes tasks such as being the initial point of contact for the team, talking to people we support, updating data in various electronic systems, ordering supplies, dealing with queries from our reablement practitioners and preparing correspondence. Our administration staff work flexibly and in a supportive manner to support each other and the Reablement teams across the county when necessary.

Shortlisting Criteria

In order to be considered for shortlisting, your application will clearly evidence the following skills and align with our behaviours:

  • Proficiency in basic IT skills such as Microsoft Office, email and file management alongside a demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to new software systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and respectfully, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy, balancing your own workload to complete work in allocated timeframes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, ensuring smooth communication and support in order to maintain efficient operations.
  • An interest in social care as a potential career. This role is a great way to get exposure to the industry.
