Situated within 4 miles of the boundaries of Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens, Chesnut Lodge Special School caters for pupils aged 2 – 16 years, with complex needs arising from physical and medical difficulties.

An incredibly rewarding place to work, Chesnut Lodge is a happy, welcoming, outward looking school where every child is valued, supported and encouraged to thrive.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly individual who has the ability to communicate effectively on the telephone, face-to-face and in writing. The successful candidate should have initiative, the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and organisational skills to manage their workload. Experience of a school office environment would be desirable. Being confident and competent using a computer is essential. The post holder will work closely with our Office Manager and will join our dedicated staff team and colleagues from health, therapy and the Local Authority.

This demanding role will require good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively both as a key member of the school team and independently. The successful applicant will have:

  • Ability to work on their own initiative.
  • Outstanding numerical, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy office by prioritising and working to deadlines.
  • The ability to maintain a professional approach at all times.

We encourage those interested to visit the school as there are no words that adequately describe the warmth, care and fun that are exhibited every day within its walls.

Chesnut Lodge School is committed to supporting staff with appropriate and essential CPD and there will be a requirement for the successful applicant to attend associated training as per the requirements of the school

Please note: All information must be included within the application form – attached CVs and Personal Statements will not be accepted.
