We are recruiting an Administrative Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 18.5 Hours
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time
Location: Brecon House Mamhilad / Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
Team: IAA Safeguarding and Supporting Family Change South East Wales Safeguarding Children Board

Do you want a fulfilling role supporting the work of Gwent Safeguarding Board to ensure effective practice in safeguarding children and adults at risk in the Gwent region? Then, this role is for you!
The role will involve working from the office base, from home and from other locations, as required by the demands of the business. As the role covers the Gwent region, there is the expectation to drive to various locations, across Gwent.
The Business Unit works closely with both the Children and Adult Safeguarding Boards to deliver the multi-agency regional safeguarding agenda.
The post holder will provide high quality administrative support to the Boards’ sub-groups, local groups and any other meetings or events that arise from the work of the Boards. A key part of this role will be to provide effective administrative and co-ordination support for multi-agency, regional safeguarding training programmes. We will also require the post holder to provide professional customer service to partner agencies and professionals who approach the Business Unit for advice on the work of the Boards, including accessing the training provided by the Boards.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A Relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example NVQ2 Administration, GCSEs Grade A*-C.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Experience of working with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
