Grade – NJC Grade 3 SCP04

Fixed term for 1 year in the first instance.

32.5 hours and Term time only 38 weeks

8.15am – 12pm, 12.30pm to 3.15pm. Monday to Friday

To start as soon as possible (pending recruitment and safeguarding checks), likely mid October.

The Governing Body of Cwmcarn Primary School is seeking to appoint a Clerk. An approachable, reliable and professional person is required for undertaking this demanding but rewarding role within the school office.

Cwmcarn Primary is a happy, friendly community school. The school had a very strong ESYYN inspection in September 2024 and also includes 3 local authority resources bases. The school clerk has an important role, central to all aspects of school life. Previous Admin experience is essential. Efficient organisational skills, excellent IT skills and the ability to welcome pupils, parents and visitors to our school are essential. The clerk is required to support the Headteacher is all aspects of the administration of running the school. Other tasks include managing the website and cashless catering. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

The successful applicant must have a flexible attitude, work positively as part of our team and enjoy working in an environment with the children, including children with complex needs.
