Role Purpose:
The post holder will provide administrative support to the Council Tax, Benefits and Business Rates case team, using strong organisational skills to maintain high attention to detail and confidentiality, to ensure the smooth running of the service.
The post holder will need to have a flexible approach to work as aside from core daily tasks, additional tasks may be required.
Applicants will need the ability to manage their own workload and use their own initiative.
The post holder will be required to undertake some training and support as identified.

This role is classed as Agile. Office working will be needed full time during the training period but once training has progressed effectively, the successful applicant will be able to work from home part of the working week on a rota basis with colleagues. Our usual office/home working split is 50/50.
The role does not provide parking.
Essential criteria:
• Excellent time management, problem solving and organisational skills
• Excellent communication with people of different social, economic and professional backgrounds
• Conscientious attitude and attention to detail
• Awareness of data protection and confidentiality
• Ability to work as part of a team
• A good standard of numeracy and literacy
• Excellent IT skills
Desirable criteria:
• Knowledge of Civica would be an advantage
• 6 months experience of working in an administrative based role
• Previous experience of working for a local authority
• NVQ level 2 in Customer Service or equivalent qualification, or experience in an appropriate area
Salary range
- £23,695 - £26,633 per year
