We are recruiting a Administrative Officer at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed term until 31-03/2026
Location: Penallta House / Home Working

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.

We pay an attractive salary of £25,584 - £27,269 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

An opportunity has arisen in the Assets, Maintenance & Repair service within Housing, specifically in the Business Team. The post will be based at our offices at Ty Penallta, Hengoed but offer a blend of office and home working.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to support the Business Team. The successful applicant will be a team player and be able to support the service and their fellow colleagues by providing a high level of administrative support.

The tasks are varied but include placing orders through the authority’s P2P system (Proactis); general administration – including photocopying, filing (electronic), letter preparation, collation of data and taking repairs calls, so an individual who is flexible in their approach to work is a must.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • A relevant Level 2 qualification/s on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example, NVQ2 Administration, GCSEs Grade A*-C.
  • Good numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Experience of providing administrative support, including data entry and file management.
