About the Role
The City of Doncaster Council is seeking two enthusiastic and motivated Social Workers to join our Adult Social Care team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. There are 2 vacancies, East and Central Locality Teams.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a busy and supportive service, making a positive difference to the lives of adults and their carers across Doncaster. You will be responsible for undertaking strengths-based assessments, support planning, safeguarding enquiries, reviews, and multi-agency working in accordance with the Care Act 2014 and relevant legislation.
Working as part of a professional and experienced team, you will support adults with a diverse range of needs, promoting independence, wellbeing, and person-centred outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Care Act assessments, reviews and support planning.
- Manage a varied caseload of adults with complex needs.
- Complete safeguarding enquiries and contribute to risk management planning.
- Work collaboratively with health colleagues, providers, carers and partner agencies.
- Promote independence and strengths-based practice.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording in line with departmental standards.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision and professional development activities.
We are looking for a Social Worker who:
- Holds a recognised Social Work qualification.
- Is registered with Social Work England.
- Has experience of working within Adult Social Care.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and safeguarding procedures.
- Possesses strong assessment and care management skills.
- Is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred services.
- Has excellent communication and partnership working skills.
