A fantastic opportunity for has arisen for the role of Advanced Social Work Practitioner within Wychavon Area Adult Social Work Team.

This is a hugely diverse role, no one day is the same and we're proud of the work that we do in our friendly and supportive team. We are looking for a colleague to join us who is value led, has a strong understanding of statutory adult social work and has the ability to bring out the best in those they line manage.

Located in the beautiful and scenic Wychavon Area, covering Droitwich, Pershore, Evesham and surrounding areas. Working alongside 3 ASWP colleagues you will manage the day-to-day operational duties of the Area Team including participating in leading Duty, undertaking supervisory responsibilities and providing an expert, consultative role in the delivery of the strengths based Social Work model. Working within the Delegated Decision Making model you will have responsibility for agreeing funding at the designated level and ensure that care and support is delivered at Best Value while promoting adults’ independence using an asset based approach.

Advanced Social Work Practitioners are pivotal in establishing consistently excellent social work practice in our teams. As part of the Wychavon management team you will lead others, fulfil management responsibilities, and support the Team by sharing your expertise with others through modelling, coaching, reflective supervision and other learning activities.

The Ideal Candidate

You'll need a professional social work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, CSS) or other social work qualification certified by Social Work England. Be able to demonstrate skills and experience related to management and leadership and a robust knowledge base including Mental Capacity, Court Work, Adult Safeguarding and Assessment, Support Planning and Review.

You will be a registered social worker with significant experience of working with Adults who have care and support needs, including being able to evidence how you have intervened in areas of poor practice, demonstrated leading practice and developing the professional practice of team members. You will also have experience of formally supporting others in a social work or social care role, which may include practice education of students or ASYE social workers. You will be committed and driven to achieve strong outcomes for the adults we support and leading social workers and social care workers to deliver a high quality service.
