
Advanced Social Work Practitioner

We are looking for an experienced Advanced Social Work Practitioner to provide professional leadership within the team through exemplary practice, coaching, mentoring and workforce development. You will play a key role in supporting high-quality practice, driving continuous professional development and helping to shape service delivery across Adult Social Care.

What You'll Do:
- Provide professional leadership to social work colleagues through exemplary practice, knowledge sharing and workforce development.
- Act as a Practice Educator for social work students and Newly Qualified Social Workers.
- Provide professional practice supervision, coaching and mentoring to Social Workers.
- Manage a caseload of the most complex cases.
- Act as a specialist expert within your area of practice, providing advice and support to colleagues and partner agencies.
- Provide professional consultation across Adult Social Care teams and partner organisations.
- Undertake direct observations of social work practitioners and support quality assurance activity.
- Complete monthly case audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain effective professional networks across partner organisations.
- Support workforce planning, workload allocation and service development activities.
What You'll Need:
- A Social Work degree or equivalent qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- Significant post-qualifying experience within Adult Social Care.
- Experience managing complex cases, safeguarding enquiries and multi-agency working.
- Experience supervising, mentoring or coaching social work practitioners.
- A Practice Educator qualification or willingness to work towards one.
- Strong assessment, analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to developing others and promoting high-quality social work practice.
