Job summary

The HR Data & Systems Advisor is responsible for delivering accurate, reliable people data and insights that support effective workforce planning, decision‑making and compliance across the Agency. The role ensures that HR systems and data are managed, trusted and accessible, enabling leaders to understand workforce risks, trends and priorities. By providing high‑quality analysis, reporting and transactional data support, the role contributes directly to a well‑governed, well‑planned and efficient organisation.

Job description

You’ll join a collaborative and knowledgeable team responsible for maintaining a single, trusted version of people data. Working closely with HR, Digital and corporate colleagues, you’ll support data governance, maintain system integrity and contribute to high-quality reporting and analysis that helps provide visibility of workforce trends, risks and priorities.

Day to day, you’ll deliver HR data, reporting and system activity in line with agreed priorities and workforce reporting requirements. You’ll manage data capture processes to ensure accuracy and compliance, investigate and resolve data quality or system issues, and support improvements to processes and workflows. You’ll produce regular and ad hoc reports, support workforce planning and organisational reporting cycles, and provide practical guidance to colleagues on how to use HR systems and reporting tools effectively.

Person specification

  • Deliver HR data, reporting and system activity in line with agreed priorities, plans and workforce reporting requirements.
  • Apply data standards and best practice to promote consistency, integrity and a single, trusted version of people data.
  • Manage and maintain effective data capture processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide specialist advice and day‑to‑day guidance to colleagues on HR data, systems and reporting tools.
  • Investigate data quality, system or reporting issues, identifying root causes and implementing proportionate solutions.
  • Improve processes and workflows by making better use of existing system functionality and reporting capabilities.
  • Produce clear HR analysis and reports that highlight workforce trends, risks and areas for attention.
  • Coordinate and prepare HR data inputs for workforce planning, organisational reporting cycles and statutory returns.
  • Communicate data and insights clearly through written reports and visual outputs for non‑technical audiences.
  • Work collaboratively with HR, Digital and corporate colleagues to support cross‑functional reporting and improvement activity, including system upgrades and monthly patching.
  • Create and maintain positions and the organisational structure in the HR System
