Agreements and Adoptions Engineer

RINGFENCED to employees within the Development Management Team only
Join our Highways team and play a key role in ensuring new roads and highway infrastructure delivered by developers are built to the required standards and can be safely adopted into the public highway network. The role combines technical engineering assessment, site inspections, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement to oversee schemes from design approval through to final adoption. You will work closely with developers, contractors, planners, and internal specialists to ensure highway works are safe, compliant, and maintainable for the future.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with highway engineering experience who enjoys a varied role involving technical review, site-based work, problem-solving, and collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders.
Key highlights:
- Review and approve highway designs and specifications.
- Manage Section 38 and Section 278 agreements and associated bonds.
- Undertake site inspections and oversee construction compliance.
- Coordinate adoption processes and certification.
- Build strong relationships with developers, contractors, and local authority colleagues.
