Job summary

Working in a team with our Head – Enterprise Risk Policy and Frameworks the Analyst – Risk data and reporting will play a key role in supporting our 2nd Line Risk Team activities: You will work closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the agency to promote strong data management practices and provide high quality insights and reporting that enable informed, risk aware decision making.

You’ll be joining a small, experienced and enthusiastic team committed to strengthening and embedding effective risk management across the organisation. Working with a professional risk team and senior stakeholders, you will collate, process and analyse risk data to produce clear, insightful and timely reporting that support strong governance utilising problem solving skills.

Job description

You'll be comfortable supporting the 2nd line risk team with complex data and reporting issues, aiming to ensure resilience of the reporting process by documenting processes as well as sharing and learning from the other members of the team.

You’ll have strong technical skills, with experience in processing and analysing data using Power BI. You will also bring curiosity, analytical thinking and a creative approach to problem solving.

Person specification

Essential:

  1. Experience of producing reports based on risk data.
  2. Experience of collating, processing, and analysing data using Power BI.
  3. Experience of engaging in and communicating with users to understand their needs and explain how to use the reports produced in response.
  4. An ability to problem-solve, learn from various content and collaboratively implement solutions. A willingness to upskill.
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including excellent literacy, numeracy and attention to accuracy, quality and timeliness of detail when using complex data sets of variable quality and availability. Clear and unambiguous reporting is therefore essential.
  6. Ability to work independently in a professional environment, delivering time critical tasks with strong organisational and time management skills.
  7. Awareness and basic understanding of core risk management principles.
